Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha not postponed, makers reconfirm film’s Baisakhi release

Laal Singh Chaddha makers have refuted rumours of the film’s release date getting postponed. Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor-starrer will hit the screens on Baisakhi, April 14.

Due to the increasing number of Covid-19 and Omicron cases, theatres have been shut in many regions. Taking this into account, the release dates of many films have been postponed. There were rumours that Laal Singh Chaddha had also been pushed. But, the makers of the Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor-starrer reconfirmed the film’s Baisakhi release in a statement.

NO CHANGE IN LAAL SINGH CHADDHA RELEASE DATE

Laal Singh Chaddha’s release date has been postponed many times. Even though there were reports that the film’s Baisakhi release has been rescheduled, Aamir Khan’s production house released an official statement about quashed the “misleading stories”.

The statement was shared on Twitter. It read, “Aamir Khan Productions’ Laal Singh Chaddha’s release date stands as Baisakhi, 14th April 2022, contrary to some misleading stories. We once again would like to thank everyone who has supported us in the journey of making this film. Produced by Viacom18 Studios and Aamir Khan Productions, Laal Singh Chaddha is directed by Advait Chandan with music by Pritam and lyrics by Amitabh Bhattacharya. The film has been adapted by Atul Kulkarni.

ABOUT LAAL SINGH CHADDHA

Directed by Advait Chauhan, Laal Singh Chaddha is the official Hindi remake of the iconic Hollywood film, Forrest Gump. Besides Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan, Laal Singh Chaddha stars Naga Chaitanya, Mona Singh and Manav VJ. Laal Singh Chaddha was supposed to clash with Allu Arjun’s Pushpa at the box on Christmas 2021, but the makers announced Valentine’s Day 2022 as the new release date. However, it got pushed again to Baisakhi due to the novel coronavirus pandemic.

Akshay Kumar’s upcoming film Bachchan Pandey is set to release in theatres on March 18. Earlier, it was shceduled to release on March 4.

Sajid Nadiadwala’s production house has announced the release date of its upcoming film, Bachchan Pandey. Starring Akshay Kumar, Bachchan Pandey will release on March 18, 2022. The film also stars Kriti Sanon and Jacqueline Fernandez.

BACHCHAN PANDEY TO RELEASE ON MARCH 18

Earlier, Bachchan Pandey was scheduled to release on March 4. As per the latest development, the makers took to social media to announce the new theatrical release date of their much-anticipated action-comedy on the auspicious occasion of Holi. They shared the new release date, March 18 with two new action-packed posters of the film.

Sharing the new release date, the official Instagram handle of Nadiadwala Grandson wrote, “Block your dates #SajidNadiadwala’s #BachchanPandey will release on 18th March, 2022 !

Akshay Kumar also shared the new release date of the film.”Action Comedy Romance Drama LOADING this Holi! #SajidNadiadwala’s #BachchanPandey in cinemas on 18th March, 2022.

ABOUT BACHCHAN PANDEY

Bachchan Pandey is the remake of the 2014 Tamil film Veeram. The shooting of the film began in Jaisalmer on January 6, 2021. The film stars Akshay Kumar in the role of a gangster, while Kriti Sanon plays a journalist. The film is produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and also features Pankaj Tripathi, Arshad Warsi and Jacqueline Fernandez in important roles. It was slated for release on Christmas last year. However, it got delayed due to the novel coronavirus pandemic. At the beginning, the film was supposed to release on January 26, 2022. Later, the date was postponed to March 4. The film will finally release on March 18 now.

Selfiee is the official remake of the 2019 Malayalam film, Driving Licence.
